On March 21st we had an adventure at the San Diego Zoo. Mom and Dad along with Amma, Ampa, Holden and Maddie loaded in the Honda van and took off to see the animals. It was a fantastic day capped off by an awesome dinner at Anthony's.
Maddie was ready to go right away.

Our timing was good. We got to see this beautiful male lion up close.

They are so big and powerful. You appreciate their size up close. Very cool polar bears.

Holden enjoyed pointing and calling out, "Mingo Birds!"
Holden also gets a kick out of 'munkeeys'
Again, our timing was splendid. We saw the cutest panda bear eating out in the open. Holden's new favorite animal (amongst his many) is the panda. We got him a cute t-shirt and a little stuffed animal that he adores.
The pandas looked surreal. They seemed liked huge stuffed animals. It was a treat to get so close to them.
Holden was in awe. Those panda sure do love bamboo.

"The Beast!"
Like I keep saying... great luck with the animals. We saw this hulking, majestic beast out in the open.
He's eating carrots and checking us out.
So cool. Those eyes.

Fresh air and critters make Mazzy a sleepy girl.

Pick me up, Panda -Holden & take Gramma K to see those awesome colourful birds ! Gramma loves helicopters.
