Newsies

As a birthday present to Deborah and I, my parents treated us to a night out to see one of my all time favorite movies, the Newsies. The musical was at the Pantages Theater in Hollywood. It was such an amazing show

after the show we walked around a bit and ended up at this little dive bar called Loaded

we had dinner at Marix in West Hollywood, the food was delicious

thank you so much mom  and dad for watching the kids and all the extra help from uncle Petey and Gina....they took the girls to the farmers market! The kids had a great time and so did we!!

Holden's Kindergarten Program

On April 9th Holden had his firs Kindergarten program. It was a patriotic theme. They sang three songs and Holden even had a speaking part. He did such a great job and it was so special to see how much he has grown

they did a slide show of all the students family members that have served our country. The kids sang "Proud to be an American" while the slide show played

Happy Easter!!

Easter seemed to fly by this year. The kids were so excited to see what the Easter Bunny left them. They woke up about 6:15 (at least they made it past 6)

we completely forgot to plant our traditional magic jelly beans. Luckily we had some "rapid" growing gummy's. The kids  planted them in a pot outside.......
they grew into marshmallow pops in about 10 minutes. The kids said "lets forget to plant them every year." They were very impressed by these gummy's
after church we headed to my parents house. The kids were so excited for the big egg hunt

 checking out all his eggs
the kids got super spoiled this year with Easter treats from amma, ampa and their aunts and uncles!

time to eat (Nate's favorite time)

 we celebrated auntie DJ's birthday

Easter Fun!

Today was a little different, in the past, I have been able to take the day before Easter off. Unfortunately I was not able to this year but luckily it was not a long day. Maddie helped my mom bake Easter bread while Ryan, Holden and Sadie went to a birthday party at the park for one of Holden's classmates. After Maddie and I got home we had dinner and took a bath. At last it was time to dye Easter eggs and get our nests set up

 the Easter bunny was here
I hope they don't wake up at 5am
