Party for uncle Mike and Sadie!

We had a surprise swim party for uncle Mike's 40th birthday on Sunday. We celebrated Sadie's birthday as well. The kids had fun swimming for the whole afternoon! 

Sadie's Birthday Weekend!!

Our little girl turned 7 years old on August 18th. Since her birthday fell on a Saturday this year we thought we would take advantage and go away for the night. We got a room at the Omni Hotel near Palm Springs. We heard there was lots for the kids to do there so we thought we would give it a try. We ran into our old neighbors from Beaumont so we hung out with them at the pool. 

Sadie woke up to some surprises in the morning.....

 we left for the hotel Saturday morning and headed straight to the pool 

 the kids loved the lazy river and water slides 

 enjoying some pool games 

 getting freshened up in the room before dinner 

 we had Sadie's birthday dinner at PF Changs. It was right across the street which was awesome

 they were having a movie at the pool so we joined after dinner 

 lunch at the pool the next day 

Back to School!!!

This year started out a bit crazy but we are getting into the swing of things now. A few days before school started we had a leak from the kids bathroom. The water came through the ceiling downstairs so they had to bring in huge fans and a humidifier to dry up the ceiling. We could not run the air while the equipment was here and with the weather being in the triple digits, we could not stay at our house. We had to stay at a hotel so it was pretty crazy waking up for the first day of school like that. I might be able to laugh about this now.
