I was able to catch Maddie's game yesterday before I headed to work. Amma and ampa made it down to see her game and I think she loved having everyone there to watch. She did a great job and is starting to understand the game. I hope she continues to enjoy it

Happy Birthday Daddy!!
Ryan's 39th birthday was on Friday. Since it fell on a work/school day we waited to celebrate that night. The girls helped me make a cake while Holden was at school.
after I got home with the kids that evening we had some cake and opened gifts
it's hard to see in this picture but Kris put some of Ryan's kindergarten artwork in his card....it was fun to compare his art to Holden's

Holden's First Award
Ryan and I went to our first (and hopefully not last) awards ceremony at Holden's school yesterday. Maddie had school so it was just little Sadie for the morning.
giving the Principal a hug
another hug for his teacher
Holden was one of 5 students from his class to receive an award
proud momma
we took this little princess to breakfast after the awards. Sadie definitely loves having mom and dad all to herself :)

Maddie's First Day of Preschool
Our little Maddie started Preschool today. Ryan and I thought it would be beneficial for Maddie to attend preschool to get socialized away from her brother and sister. My neighbor is a teacher at Yucaipa Christian so we felt comfortable knowing there was a familiar face and someone to keep an eye on Maddie. She did really well. No tears for this girl and she made a new friend who showed her around the class and play ground. We are so proud of Maddie and very excited for a fun school year.
she loves her new Frozen backpack
lining up to say the pledge of allegiance
meeting new friends
Sadie was excited to see her sisters new classroom
Sadie and I went to Queen Bee Coffee for a little one on one date
Holden and Maddie wanted to work on their homework together

Newport Beach Weekend
My parents had their time share for the week but unfortunately between work and school we could only stay for the weekend. The kids LOVE staying at the "beach house" and can't wait to stay the whole week next June. Here is the view from the condo
after we unpacked we headed down to the pool for some dinner
the girls are all ready for bed
donuts for breakfast
they can't wait to play at the beach
we tried out a new beach called "Mother's Beach" it's in Newport. It's perfect for kids because there are no waves. Deborah's sister Jen and her husband Eric met us at the beach to hang out for the day
uncle Mike found this fish in the water and Holden wanted to pick it up (yuck)
heading back to the condo for a swim
Sadie wanted to chill in the baby pool
driving to dinner
Mike wanted to try this new fish market near the condo. It was delicious and a new spot for us to go every time we are there
hanging out Sunday morning
after church we had lunch at Ruby's Diner
Mike and Deborah left after lunch. We stayed until the evening. My mom and I took the kids to the little play area outside the condo
one last relaxing pool trip
beautiful sunset on our drive home
