Happy Birthday to Sadie

Our baby girl turned 3 years old yesterday. Sadie is the happiest little girl and always has a smile on her face. She is really becoming her own person, she likes to do everything herself and is very independent. She definitely has a stubborn side (I can't imagine where she got that from)

 A few things about Sadie at three:

*wearing 3T to 4T clothes (same as Maddie)

*used the potty for the first time on July 20th. We are still working on it. I hope in the next month or so we have it down

*we just made her crib into a toddler bed. She is doing excellent and sleeps from 7:30 or 8 to 6am. sometimes it's before 6. I hope she learns to sleep in sometime soon

*LOVES the movie Frozen . She likes to be called Elsa or Anna depending on the day. She sings all the songs and dances

*loves to watch Woody Woodpecker

*loves playing Barbie's with Maddie

We had a low key day yesterday since it was a school day for Holden and work day for daddy. Sadie was up early with Holden and hung out with him until he left for school

 after I got back from taking Holden to school Sadie opened her birthday gifts

 after dinner we sang happy birthday to our girl

Party for uncle Petey and Sadie

We celebrated Peter and Sadie's birthday yesterday at my parents house. It was a pretty hot day so everyone enjoyed the pool. We BBQ'd burgers and hot dogs and enjoyed ice cream cake for dessert!

Holden's First Day of Kindergarten!

Today was the day that I was so excited about for so long. Yes, finally a break! Well, now that it is here all I want to do is reverse time and hold my little boy in my arms again and rock him to sleep. How did the time fly by so fast? I hope Holden  meets lots of friends and has a fun time learning. He was excited and a bit nervous when I woke him up at 6 this morning. (Please excuse the misspelling of Kindergarten on Holden's sign. I can't take credit for that even though I am the bad speller of the family. I think Ryan was a bit tired when he wrote the sign last night. I just had to give him a hard time about it haha)

 I took the kids shopping and to get some frozen yogurt later that afternoon 

it was a very successful first day of school! We can't wait for all the awesome things he is going to learn this year

Big Girl Bed

On Monday we converted Sadie's crib into a toddler bed FINALLY. Sadie will be three on the 18th and I know it was time but she made no effort to escape her crib so I thought why bother. Well, the past few weeks she has been waking up at 5-5:30 screaming for us to get her....needless to say I was done running down the hall to get her before she woke up Maddie and Holden. She has been doing awesome in her bed. The first morning she was at my face around 6am but it definitely beat the 5am wake up scream!

Gabe & Michelle's Wedding Weekend!!

My younger brother Gabe got married on August 2nd. Our family was so happy to be a part of their big day. We started off the celebration with the rehearsal at St. Theresa's in Alhambra on Thursday  

 after the rehearsal we headed to Buca Di Beppo in Pasadena

 the next day we headed to Los Angeles. We stayed at he J.W Marriott. It was just steps from the Staples center and LA Live. It was an awesome location

 the rooms had these fancy robes and Ryan could not help himself

 after dinner we put our swim suits on and headed to the pool for an evening swim

 Deborah and I met up at 6:45 the next morning to head over to Michelle's hotel (she stayed at the Bonaventure) to get ready with the girls

 we met up for breakfast before heading home

we had such a fun weekend. Congrats uncle Gabe and auntie Michelle
